Ronald Herrst

Herrst, Ronald Albert - Age 67, of Grand Blanc, died January 20, 2022. Interment will be held 1 PM Thursday, February 3 at Great Lakes National Cemetery 4200 N. Belford Rd. Holly. Arrangements are being handled by Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd., Grand Blanc.

Ronald was born August 24, 1954 in Ann Arbor, the son of Albert and Ruth (Rogers) Herrst. He married Cheryl Sanders in Rosebush on August 4, 1990. Ronald proudly served his country in The United States Navy. His VP 60 Navy Unit received the Noel Davis Award. He worked as a registered nurse for 30 years. Ronald was also a firefighter for several years. He was an avid fisherman and flower gardener. Ronald loved history. He was a wonderful grandfather and loved spending time with his family. Ronald was a nurturer of all life; he loved making everything flourish.

He is survived by his wife, Cheryl; 5 children, Ryan (Andrea) Herrst of Grand Ledge, Melissa Herrst (Danni Bott) of Lansing, Amber (Derek) Aben of Grass Lake, Danielle (Zack) Hodson of Bear Lake, Lee (Drew) Allen of Swartz Creek; 13 grandchildren, Luke, Scarlett, Ezra, Synkhoa, Daniel, Roy, Mallory, Dominic, Zoe, Gavin, Graham, Ivey, Damien; brothers, Vern (Judy), Ted (Mary), Burt (Mary Lou); many nieces and nephews.
