Ross Tatro

TATRO, Ross  Arthur -- Age 84, of Fenton, died March 19, 2022.  Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 AM Wednesday, March 23 at St John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 600 N Adelaide Street, Fenton, Fr. Robert Copeland celebrant. Visitation will be 2-8 PM Tuesday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Fenton where a Rosary will be prayed at 7 PM.  Visitation will also be 10 AM until time of Mass at the church on Wednesday, March 23. In lieu of flowers those desiring may make contributions to MSAA ( Multiple Sclerosis Association of America).

Ross was born May 5, 1937 in Garden City, the son of Murlin and Doris (Ross) Tatro. He was a Veteran of the U.S Army serving 2 years in Germany. He resided in Fenton since 1993, living in Livonia 15 years prior. He married Antoinette Candela on January 21, 1967 in Dearborn;  she preceded him in death March 14, 1998. He married Linda Wisok on October 27, 2001 in Las Vegas, NV.  He was employed at Ford Motor Company for 42 years, retiring in 1996. Ross was a member of the Knights of Columbus and St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, where he was a long-time volunteer. He enjoyed golf and cheering loudly for all the Detroit sports teams and the Michigan State Spartans. Most of all, he enjoyed being with his family.

He is survived by wife, Linda Tatro of Fenton; children, Maria (Daniel) Giggy of Holt, Edward (Dawn) Tatro of Denver, CO; stepson, Joseph (Lisa) Lavigne of Farmington Hills; daughter-in-law, Beth Lavigne; 10 grandchildren; brothers Richard (Carol) Tatro, Terry (Linda) Tatro; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Antoinette; brother, Greg Tatro; sister, Judy Tatro; and stepson, Michael Lavigne.
