Ruth Cappo

CAPPO, Ruth Eva Elizabeth - Age 95, of Flint, died peacefully at her home.  Private services will be held.  Those desiring may make contributions to St. Pius X Catholic Church, 3139 Hogarth Ave., Flint, MI 4832.

Ruth was born May 17, 1925 in Laird Township, MI, the daughter of Albin and Nelma (Saaranen) Saari.  She married Caesar A. Cappo April 12, 1945 in the Upper Peninsula and he preceded her in death August 24, 2015.  She had resided in Flint since 1946.  Ruth was a founding member of St. Pius X Catholic Church, and Member of the Friends of Finland.  She was a proud Finnish American and she shared with her family her love of everything Finnish including baking, sewing, and crafts.

Surviving are: her daughter, Sharon and husband Richard Starck of Arlington, VA; grandchildren, Shelley and husband Miguel Green, Richard Starck, Jason and wife Sara Starck, and Kylie Starck; great grandchildren, Mikaela, Colette, Noah, Nathan, and Natalie; sister-in-law, Carolyn Cappo; and many nieces and nephews.
