Virginia Pounds

POUNDS, Virginia Jane - Age 92, of Grand Blanc, died Tuesday, May 12, 2021.  Funeral services will be held 12:00 PM Saturday, May 15, 2021 at Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Road, Grand Blanc.  Minister Ron Hughey officiating.  Visitation will be held at the funeral home Saturday from 10:00 AM until the time of the service.  In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to a charity of your choice.

Virginia was born November 21, 1928 in Flint, the daughter of Ernest and Helen (Heninnger) Rock.  She married Thomas S. Pounds March 8, 1948 in Flint and he preceded her in death July 19, 2018.  She retired from Kroger as Head of Dairy.  She was a member of Left Bank Gallery in Flint.  Virginia enjoyed making pottery, going to art fares, and her travels in Europe.

Surviving are: 3 sons, Robert (Debbie) Pounds of Vassar, David Pounds of Ormond Beach, FL, and Stewart (Jill) Pounds of Flint Twp.; 3 grandchildren, Thomas (Tanya) Pounds, Brian Pounds, and Nicholas (Lindsey) Pounds; 2 great grandchildren, Dominick and Maverick.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; and brother and sister-in-law, Edwin and Marge Rock.  Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
