RIVETTE, Virginia - Age 88, of Linden, died Saturday, December 1, 2012. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, December 5, 2012 at the Assumption Greek Orthodox Church, 2245 E. Baldwin Rd, Grand Blanc, with Rev. Fr. Angelo Maggos celebrating. Burial in Sunset Hills Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. A Trisagion service will be held at the funeral home Tuesday at 7:00 PM. Those desiring may make contributions to the Assumption Greek Orthodox Church or Carriage Town Ministries. Virginia was born April 15, 1924 in Flint, the daughter of Theodore and Olga (Keramedas) Kitsonas. She married Hector Thomas Rivette September 17, 1942 and he preceded her in death March 21, 2007. She was a member of Assumption Greek Orthodox Church, where she taught Sunday School. She was also a group leader for Bible Study Fellowship (BSF) for several years. Virginia is survived by: 4 children, Stephen and wife Cynthia Rivette of Fenton, Marc Rivette of Lincolnshire, IL, Matthew and wife Lori Rivette of Swartz Creek, and Maria Greenfield of Strongsville, OH; 3 granddaughters, Alexandria, Christina, and Gabrielle; brother, William Kitsonas of Flint; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was also preceded in death by her parents; brother, Nicholas Kitsonas; sister, Irene Bower. Special thanks to Young at Heart Assisted Living for all of the exceptional care.
