William Freas

Freas, William S. - Age 89, of Fenton, died September 28, 2022. Funeral services will be held 1PM Saturday, October 8  at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton.  Visitation will be held  10 AM until the time of the service at 1 PM on Saturday October 8.  Those desiring may make contributions to the Fenton United Methodist Church.

William was born January 23, 1933 in Eyers Grove, PA, the son of Ira and Maizie (Mordan) Freas. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. William was an Engineer retiring from General Motors in 1987. He was a longtime member and usher at the Fenton United Methodist Church. William served on the Fenton City Council, Board of Appeals, and Planning Commission. He was a member of the Jaycee's. William was an avid model builder. He enjoyed spending time with his family and his property up north in Boon.

Surviving are: wife Marlene; son David Freas; granddaughters Rebecca Freas and Melissa Freas; great-grandson, Bentley David Freas; step-daughter Kim (Les) Beare; step-grandchildren, Kristen (Craig) Noble, Kathryn (Brandon) Myers, Camille Byers. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Edith; and sisters Gladys and Julia.
