Chief Executive Officer and Founder
Roger Sharp is the CEO and co-owner alongside his children and son-in-law of Sharp Funeral Homes. He established Sharp Funeral Homes in 1971, which has locations in Flint, Swartz Creek, Fenton and Linden. He also was instrumental in starting the Flint Prearrangement Center. Roger is a graduate of Ferris State College and California College of Mortuary Science. Roger is a veteran of the U.S. Army.

President of Business Operations / Funeral Director
RJ received a Bachelor of Science Degree from Michigan State University in 1997 and a Bachelor of Mortuary Science Degree from Wayne State University in 2000. He currently serves on the Linden Downtown Development Authority. RJ has been active in many community and civic organizations within Genesee County including Fenton Regional Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors and Swartz Creek Downtown Development Authority, as well as national professional organizations. RJ is a Certified Funeral Service Practitioner through the Academy of Professional Funeral Service Practice. RJ and his three daughters Remy, Mason and Parker live in Linden and are active members of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Fenton.
President of Funeral Operations / Funeral Director
Michael has worked with Sharp Funeral Homes for over 30 years and is currently the President of Funeral Service Operations. He was a 1982 graduate of Linden High School and received an Associates Degree from Ferris State University in 1987, and a Bachelor's Degree in Mortuary Science from Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science in 1989. Michael is a Linden native and resides there with his wife, Jennifer and their twins, Samuel and Paige. They are members of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Fenton and are very active in the community. Michael has served on the Fenton Regional Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, where he also served on the Executive Board and has chaired the Annual Chamber Golf Outing for many years. He is a member of the Fenton Rotary Club, Fenton Knights of Columbus, and the Fenton XX Men's Club.
Manager / Funeral Director
Jennifer
was raised in Swartz Creek and was a 1988 graduate of Swartz Creek High School.
She graduated from Michigan State
University in 1992, and Mid-America College of Funeral service in Jeffersonville,
Indiana in 1993. Jennifer has been a
licensed funeral director since 1993.
She currently holds the roles of manager of the Sharp Funeral Home and
Cremation Center in Flint/Grand Blanc Township and Secretary for the
company. Jennifer and her husband
Michael Scully reside in Linden, with their children Samuel and Paige. They are members of St. John the Evangelist
Catholic Church in Fenton. Sam and Paige
attend St. John School. Jennifer spends
her free time accompanying Sam and Paige to their sports and extracurricular

for school activities and events and spending time at home on Lobdell Lake
Manager / Funeral Director
Stephanie grew up in Swartz Creek and is a 1991 graduate of Swartz Creek High School. She graduated in 1993 from Mid-America College of Funeral Service in Jeffersonville, IN. Stephanie is a licensed funeral director serving area families and her role also includes Treasurer for Sharp Funeral Homes and manager of the Linden Chapel. She has lived in Fenton since 1998 with her husband Brendan and their two sons, Preston and Bennett. They are members of The Rock Church in Fenton. She enjoys volunteering for many of her son's school activities and sporting events, as well as, serving in the children's ministry at The Rock Church.
Funeral Director, Emeritus
Clark Connolly has served area families since 1963. A native of Belleville, Michigan he attended Cleary College in Ypsilanti and Michigan State Normal College (now Eastern Michigan University). He graduated from Wayne State University and received his Mortuary Science License. The Michigan Funeral Directors Association recently honored him for his extensive service as a Funeral Director. Clark belongs to the Genesee County Historical Society, the Dom Polski Club and has been a member of many other community organizations. Past member of the West Flint Kiwanis Club, obtained certification from The International Conference of Funeral Service Examining Boards and certification from the Dodge Institute for advanced mortuary studies. He is a practicing member of the Roman Catholic Faith and lives in Grand Blanc Township.
Funeral Director
Steve has been a funeral director since he graduated from Wayne State University in 1994. He has served families in the Genesee and surrounding counties for the past 20 years. He has been with Sharp Funeral Homes since 2008. He and his wife Amy live with their sons, Jake and Alex in Lapeer Township. They belong to Lapeer Assembly of God Church. Steve is active in the community, and the chairman of the Lapeer Chapter of Ducks Unlimited.
Funeral Director
Zach has been a funeral director since he received his Degree in Mortuary Science from Worsham College of Mortuary Science in 2012. He has recently moved back to the Genesee County area after serving families in the Petoskey area for the past four years. He and his wife Michelle live with their daughter Peyton in Grand Blanc. Zach plans to be active in the community once settled. He enjoys time with his family and dog, outdoor activities, and riding his motorcycle.
Funeral Director
Greg received a Bachelor of Business Administration from Michigan State University in 1981 and then attended Wayne State University where he studied Mortuary Science. He became a licensed funeral director in 1982, and is a fourth generation funeral director. Greg is happily married to Anna M. Buresh and currently resides in White Lake.
Funeral Director
Courtney received a Bachelor of Mortuary Science Degree from Wayne State University in 2018. After serving her apprenticeship with the Sharp family, she became a fully licensed funeral director and embalmer in 2019. Courtney truly loves serving families in their time of need. She currently resides in the city of Flushing with her dogs and her loving partner, Chris Lopez. Courtney enjoys playing the piano, guitar and ukulele, spending time with her family and friends, and traveling. When she isn't helping the families that we serve, you will always find her making memories with the people and things that matter most.
Monument & Marker Coordinator
Jennifer lives in Swartz Creek with her 9 year old son, Santino. She graduated from Swartz Creek High School and Mid America College of Funeral Service, Jeffersonville, IN. She is a member of Flint First Wesleyan Church. Jennifer has worked in funeral service for 20 years as a funeral director as well as assisting families with cemetery markers and monuments. She enjoys spending time with family and friends and watching her son play baseball, basketball and soccer.
Advanced Funeral Planner
Brad has worked in funeral service since 2013. For three of those years, he was a celebrant and has been an Advanced Funeral Planner since 2016. Brad has been privileged to represent Sharp Funeral Homes since 2018. Brad is a graduate of Olivet Nazarene University, has been a Pastor of Worship Arts for 17 years, and has a heart for ministering to those he meets through the funeral home. Brad enjoys living vicariously through his 5 daughters and personally enjoys singing, theater, and golf.
Advanced Funeral Planner
Martie was recently married to Dr. Robert McLandress. Martie has two children, Lisa (Jeff) Harris and Jason (Jill) Lind; and four grandsons, Bradley and Alex Harris and Preston and Graham Lind. She graduated from Linden High School and has lived in Linden her entire life with the exception of the years spent at MSU. Martie is a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. She enjoys golfing, boating, antiquing and going to her grandsons' sporting events at Powers Catholic High School. Martie has been employed at Sharp Funeral Homes for the past 10 years in various positions, the past five years as an Advanced Planning Counselor. Martie enjoys meeting with families to help them understand the benefits of pre-planning.
Advanced Funeral Planner
Sam is Sharp’s newest pre-need counselor, joining our team in early 2019. Born in Flint and raised in Linden, now residing in downtown Fenton. Linden Graduate and previously in the fields of automotive, finance, real estate, and music education. Nowadays, when he’s not helping families with prearrangements at Sharp, he’s spending quality time with his wife and daughter or playing for the Detroit Lions Honolulu Boom Drumline. Sam has always had a passion for helping others and music which led him to teaching students from Clio, Durand, Fenton, Flushing, Grand Blanc, Holly, and Linden Schools. Sam’s diverse background makes him a great fit as an Advanced Funeral Planner and he looks forward to relieving you and your family of the emotional and financial burden of funeral arrangements. Funeral Directors Assistant / Coordinator of the Fenton Chapel
Jenny has proudly worked for Sharp Funeral Homes for 13 years as a Funeral Directors Assistant and Coordinator of the Fenton Chapel. She takes great pride in helping and making others feel comforted at one of the hardest times of their lives. Jenny grew up in Flint, was a 1998 graduate of Kearsley High School and attended Mott Community College. She adores and is most proud of her son, Dominick. Jenny enjoys spending time with family and friends, listening to music, exercising, and aspiring to accomplish life goals.

Julie has worked for Sharp Funeral Homes for 23 years, working many positions, most recently as a Funeral Directors Assistant and Coordinator of the Miller Road Chapel. She grew up in Flint and is a graduate of Flint Southwestern High School and attended Michigan State University. Julie is very active with St Robert Church and school. She and her husband, Steven reside in Flushing, they have 3 children, Tyler, Lindsey and Makenna. She enjoys spending time with her family, helping out at school events and watching sporting events of all types.
Aftercare Coordinator
Ann Turner Podlesak started working for Sharp Funeral Homes in the early 90’s and has been full time for the past 14 years. She handles aftercare providing follow up for families. Ann grew up in Fenton and graduated from Ferris State University. She lives with her 2 daughters, Channer and Lydia and is very involved with their activities as well as in the community.

Chapel Coordinator & Funeral Director Assistant
Jackie has worked for Sharp Funeral Homes for nearly two years. She is a Funeral Directors Assistant and Coordinator of the Flint/Grand Blanc Township location. Jackie lives in Fenton, and grew up in Davison. She has a daughter, Christina and two grandchildren, Camden and Ryleigh who live in Georgia. Prior to working for Sharp Funeral Homes, Jackie was in the hospitality business for 25 years in Genesee County. She enjoys gardening, working out, spending time with family and trips to Georgia.

Community Outreach / Celebrant
Jay has worked at Sharp Funeral Homes for two years. He is Sharp's Community Outreach coordinator, serving in the community with hospices, local ministers, and other community organizations. Jay, his wife Jess, and daughter Blair live in Grand Blanc. He and his family are actively involved at Faith Church of Linden where Jay serves as a pastor. He enjoys spending time with family, the outdoors, and serving in the worship ministry at his church.
